A good tip for Scentsy consultants is to LABEL EVERYTHING!!! Especially your bars and the bottoms of your warmers. I find an easy way to make my own labels is to go to www.Avery.com and use their templates. I buy Avery labels or the generic form of Avery. Personal Scentsy Website

Did you know that having a personal website can help you market yourself as a Scentsy consultant online. Even just a Scentsy blog can be beneficial to help you find new customers online. If you are looking into this option GoDaddy is a good place to search for and purchase your domain name. There are naming rules that apply when you do, such as; don't choose a name that has any similarity to Scentsy in it, ie. Scentsygirl or ilovescentsi. My team name Scent-Z-itis is actually out of compliance. I'm not sure why they've let me keep it, lol. They may ask me to change it someday.

Currently, GoDaddy is offering $1.00 New Domain Names with the code JILLIAN1. You can use it on .coms, .nets, .biz and more. I suggest that you purchase a .com because that is the most popular in searches.

I don't know how long they will offer domains for $1, it's a promotion they do every once in a while.

If you are considering starting a personal Scentsy website there is some reading you'll need to do in the policies and procedures to guide you. You may also want to take a class on internet marketing. I know that it can be VERY lucrative when it's done right.

No parties on the calendar? People don't want to commit? They don't want to clean, they don't know anyone, they don't have time, etc. Try this!

You need 5 people to commit to collecting $100 in orders in 10 days. This will total $500 in orders. You give each person who participates a prize. EVERYONE wins something...which is more than the "nothing" they'd earn by turning in $100 in orders. Prizes are as follows:

When you put the orders in as a $500 party, you'll have $75 in hostess credit and 4 1/2 price items. The prizes will cost you $20 out-of-pocket ($12.50 for the 6 pack of bars and $7.50 for a 6 pack of Scent Circles. Use 2 of your half-price items to order these.) Remember that there will be tax on the full value of your half-price items. When they agree to participate, you need to gently enforce this commitment by saying "there are 5 people participating, so it's very important that you'll be able to commit to this challenge so everyone can receive a prize." Make sure you set a closing date.

Once you get people to participate the first time...they will look forward to the next time. You can modify this to suit your needs too...make it a $50 challenge for 10 people and tweak the benefits. Or a $100 challenge for 10 people! Do your first challenge NOW...so that come fall, when everyone is ready to do their holiday shopping, you can do it again;)
