Are your summer sales in a slump? Here's a card to give them a bump!

No parties on the calendar? People don't want to commit? They don't want to clean, they don't know anyone, they don't have time, etc. Try this!

You need 5 people to commit to collecting $100 in orders in 10 days. This will total $500 in orders. You give each person who participates a prize. EVERYONE wins something...which is more than the "nothing" they'd earn by turning in $100 in orders. Prizes are as follows:

1. $40 FREE
2. $35 FREE
3. 6 pack of Scentsy Bars FREE
4. 1/2 price & 3 FREE Scent Circles
5. 1/2 price & 3 FREE Scent Circles

When you put the orders in as a $500 party, you'll have $75 in hostess credit and 4 1/2 price items. The prizes will cost you $20 out-of-pocket ($12.50 for the 6 pack of bars and $7.50 for a 6 pack of Scent Circles. Use 2 of your half-price items to order these.) Remember that there will be tax on the full value of your half-price items. Be sure to mention to your participants that they get free shipping but they will have to pay the tax on the full value of their prizes. (Scentsy doesn't charge tax on their free items but to be fair I plan on charging tax to all the participants regardless of which prize they get. In Utah the extra tax money will be about $5.13 and I plan on using that to offset the cost of my out-of-pocket expenses.

When they agree to participate, you need to gently enforce this commitment by saying "there are 5 people participating, so it's very important that you'll be able to commit to this challenge so everyone can receive a prize." Make sure you set a closing date.

Once you get people to participate the first time...they will look forward to the next time. You can modify this to suit your needs too...make it a $50 challenge for 10 people and tweak the benefits. Or a $100 challenge for 10 people! Do your first challenge NOW...so that come fall, when everyone is ready to do their holiday shopping, you can do it again;)

Warmin' Up the Summer

Warmin' Up the Summer is an incentive program that is completely different from any other incentive that Scentsy has EVER done. Orville said that he wanted to inspire and motivate all the consultants ranking Escential to Director Q. These are the consultants that we wants to reward over the summer for increasing their business. To do that he is only offering prizes to these ranks for their summer sales. (Directors and above only win a prize if someone on their team wins a prize.) I personally love this incentive because it gives a nice even playing field for consultants who want to grow their business and win a prize without setting some kind of "World Sales Record".

It's incredibly easy to win this incentive. You are basically comparing your sales numbers for the current month to your April sales. You win this incentive by being one of the top 5,000 consultants increasing your sales growth above April's sales , (the word they use on the chart is CHANGE) Look at the chart above for details.

Bring Back My Bar Post Card

So here's what I did yesterday:

I made this 4x6 post card that you can print out as a photo at Walgreens or Target etc. Click this link to download the post card:

Before you print you can take this image and import it into a program like Paint or Gimp or any scrapbooking program that will let you modify an image. Enter your contact information on the bottom right corner then save and send it to print. Or you can print your own labels and stick them on. Address the back and use a post card stamp and mail them off to your customer list, past hostesses, neighbors, friends and family, etc. Or pass the out at parties, shows or fundraisers. (Remember this promotion only runs during July.)

Create a Facebook Fan Page for your Scentsy Biz

Creating a Facebook Fan Page can be a big boost to your Scentsy business. Best thing of all is that it's a free web page that can help you find customers and keep the customers you have coming back. First Step:

Create a fan page by clicking the link below. Facebook will walk you through the process.

TIP: Keep in mind when you're naming your page, it's better to make your page name short and easy to remember. Don't use extra characters like hyphens. Example: Get A Scent, Here I Glow, I Love Wickless.
You can also use Scentsy in your page title IF you also add "Independent Scentsy Consultant" Example: Christine, Independent Scentsy Consultant.
Do NOT use just Scentsy or any thing that sounds like it. Scentsy will ask you to remove your page if you do. Example: Scentsy Girl, Scentz, Scent Si.



Step 2
Create your tabs to promote your Scentsy website

Go to Edit Info at the top of your page. Then apps on the left side. Add the app that says "Static FBML" Click "Go To App"

Type JOIN as the title in the first box.
The next box is the tricky part. Go through the following code thoroughly and everywhere you see XXX put your Scentsy URL name in it's place. example: https://XXX.scentsy.US - https://Christine.scentsy.US
(Canadian consultants, you'll need to change the .US to .CA and you will also need to change the $99 to $119.)

TIP: To quickly change the URL names use the Notepad application on your computer.
1. Click Start/Run, type in "notepad".
2. Copy/paste the code between START and STOP into Notepad.
3. From the EDIT menu, click REPLACE.
4. In FIND WHAT type in the snipet of code you want to modify.
5. In REPLACE WITH type in the change you want to make.
6. Click REPLACE ALL.

Example: FIND WHAT, XXX.scentsy.us - REPLACE WITH, Connie.scentsy.ca

Now copy and paste the following code between the START and STOP. (Do not include START or STOP)
